"White: Nightmare In The End" is the second compilation album from the End Records supporting all their bands following their first one called "…Until The End Of Time". All the bands signed onto the records are showcased on this disc. The disc feature bands with varied musical styles which makes this album real special. Underground bands like Odes Of Ecstasy, Sculptured, Nokturnal Mortum, Mental Home are some of the band on the disc. The album starts with the Greek band, Odes Of Ecstasy’s "Abstract Thoughts" which is kind of non-metal and yet harmonious and doomy track. Next is "Snow Covers All" by this progressive death metal band, Sculptured. The band has been successful in incorporating pianos and trumpets yet maintaining the heaviness in their song. Next is Russia’s Mental Home with their "Stained" track which has an atmospheric and progressive feel to it. Following this is the emotional, technical death metal band from Czech Republic, Love History’s track "The Gleam Of Midnight Sky/Smell Of Tears". An excellent 11 minute plus track. Following this are dark, doomy tracks by Agalloch, Mistigo Varggoth Darkestra( solo project of vocalist of Nokturnal Mortum), Scholomance, Epoch Of Unlight and Nokturnal Mortum. Missouri’s Scholomance and Epoch Of Unlight add the progressive touch to the compilation while the bands like Agalloch and Nokturnal Mortum show the bitter and dark side of the disc. The final track of the disc, "Perun’s Celestial Silver" by Nokturnal Mortum starts off with a Scottish bagpipe tune and then proceeds into a full speed metal track. Overall, an excellent compilation by the End Records. Hope to hear from their bands in future.
