Hate Eternal heroics are known to the world in the forms of ‘Conquering the throne ‘ & ‘King of all kings’. There last one ‘I monarch’ was also not far behind from being called as a benchmark in the death metal history.
Time to analyze what Erik and the boys have for us with ‘Fury and flames’, first track on the album ‘Hell envenomed’ begins with a power shift mode, where the riff lava coagulates in your ear drums for around 30 seconds and then ejects out with a unmatched fury, two refreshing things you are bound to observe from the very beginning are- No.1.Drummer Jade Simonetto ‘s extreme thunderous blasts and touch and run maneuvers on the rest of the kit, it’s so technical, rapid and outperforms whatever Mr. Derek Roddy has done to hate Eternal. No.2.The way Simonetto jockeys over the lead guitars, the whole ambiance drifts into a death metal loop never heard and felt before, and mind you these are quantum loops that tie you till hell. Tracks like ‘Bringer of storms’ are ultra-groovial and yet so sturdy, on this track you shall find some high climbing riffs during slower sections, which absolutely rundown the hill when death metal synergy is just at the apex.
Tracks such as ‘The funerary march’ makes you observe changes in the overall sound of the band, it’ s become more profound and promising as the riff tone levels have gone up slightly, these can be easily caught up on slower parts of this very track. Since there is slot of singing (or shall I say continuous growling) involved on the record, it makes it much more forceful. Although at the same time the weak link is improper utilization of Mr. Alex Webster (Cannibal Corpse) on ‘Fury and Flames’, he’s most definitely the channel unused, who could have made it thumpier and uppish. Favorite picks-‘Proclamation of the damned’, ‘Fury within’ and ‘Bringer of storms. To bring the book to the final chapter- It’s chaotic, it’s relentless, it’s intense, it’s pantherous, it’s invincible, and it’s Hate eternal.
