REVERRSE POLARITY set to launch self titled debut album

Mumbai based Progressive/hardcore band, REVERRSE POLARITY, are all set to launch their self titled debut album. Formed in 2008, the band won the Channel [V] Launch Pad in 2009 and was the first Indian band to be featured on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. The band had been working on their debut despite tragically loosing their drummer and recruiting his replacement.

The self titled debut has been recorded, mixed and mastered by Keshav Dhar at Illusion Audio. Artwork has been done by Aaron Pinto from Providence

We asked the band to tell us something about the debut “As we talk about different issues and stories, the theme funnels down to it being about ‘you’, ‘me’, and everyone out there. It’s about looking at ourselves from a third person’s perspective. Seeing an unbiased, unaltered reality. Each song has a different purpose , a different story to tell.

To summarize the lyrical content of this album, we would say this- problems created by the urban-man has lead his society to become a circle of cliches and unproductive events which just does not cease. In this album we are talking about taking a stronger stand against these cliches and the non-productive events that occur.

Let’s take the song “The Dreaming” for example. The lyrical matter is about a person suffering from Schizophrenia and how he or she has to cope with the different personalities that exist around, so it’s a conversation of a Schizophrenic with his/her many different personalities.”
