As previously reported, Limit Zero announced Sunneith Revankar of Bhayanak Maut & Providence is going to do vocals for their upcoming album, along with 2 guest vocalists. Two tracks on the album will feature guest vocalists, one being Siddharth Basrur ( Goddess Gagged ) and the other featuring Trevor Marks ( Toxic Grind Machine ) on vocals.
“I’ve been a fan of Trevor ever since i heard the Toxic Grind Machine song, ‘Burn Bright, Wry Jackal’. I heard that track even before i started writing music for Limit Zero. Trevor, in my opinion, is one of the most creative and talented musicians in the metal scene today. Working with him has been nothing short of amazing. His approach to singing and screaming is quite unique. He’s got a fantastic voice and he sure as hell can scream! I’ve always wanted to have him on one of our tracks, so when we decided to approach vocalists to collaborate with on this album, Trevor was definitely on top of the list. I sent him a message on Facebook and he said he was definitely open to the idea so we sent him a couple of songs and he chose one, which is now ‘Gravestone Constellations’. This was the last track we wrote for the album and it is definitely one of my favorites. I can’t thank Trevor enough for his amazing performance on this track and for being a part of this album. His band Toxic Grind Machine is about to release their album as well, so make sure you check it out!” comments guitarist Shreyas Skandan.
“First, I heard that crush..chords sharp enough to stab and size up the equator another fat-ass belt notch. Heavy in ANY hemisphere, man. Then the second wave..djently and gently..came. This is where Limit Zero really churn the guts – a cold rush – amplifiers now awash in an undercurrent, filled to the gill, with the sublime of post-rock and Katatonia’s kiss of melody. Well shit..I could paint enough pretense to blow Terrorizer and Decibel to christendom. Bless em! To hasten, I’m fortunate to be able to have worked with Shreyas and his band of limitless talents. Their arrangements are absolutely singular to the metal/rock multiverse. Expect immense things ahead folks!” notes Trevor Marks
“When Arjun and Shreyas approached me to sing on one of their songs, I was already caught up with a whole lot of other shit, but I asked them to send me the song, anyway. And when I heard it, I had to have my voice on it. It took me at least 3-4 weeks to actually get down to recording, as I managed to have my phone stolen and lost all the lyrics. So they had to be re-written, and then there was the issue of getting time to actually get to the studio to record. Finally it happened, and when I took to the microphone, the melodies just seemed to flow. I barely had to do retakes, as it was so easy and so much fun to sing to the track. I got to experiment quite a bit, and that always makes me happy. I can’t wait to hear the final mix, and I’m absolutely sure that Mr. Dhar will do a fantastic job. “ commented Siddharth
