Just a few days after Riju Dasgupta announced his departure from Workshop, the band has made yet another announcement. Workshop, India’s possibly only humor metal band announced that the band would be splitting up. The band has not clearly cited the exact reason to the split up; though this is they had to say on their facebook page:
“It just doesn’t feel the same anymore and it would be wrong to continue the project without us being 100% into it, it wouldn’t be fair to us or the fans. So we feel that it is time to call it quits.”
The band has been around for 4 years now and has released its debut album ‘Khooni Murga’ in 2009. The band very recently was in studios in the process of recording it’s second album. They plan on completing the recording process of the second album, while they still contemplate whether to release it or not.
