And so, I bid farewell to Providence after a year long run. All the best to the chaps and apologies to those disappointed” posted as a Facebook update by KARAN POTE, frontman, Providence and Abraxas. This was posted to announce his farewell from Providence. A year ago Karan replaced Sunneith Revankar, Bhayanak Maut.
Here is what band posted on its official Facebook page on its frontman’s departure “Well, it’s out! Providence and Karan Pote part ways after a year! The decision was purely out of mutual differences between us and Karan. Which also includes a long list of liquor brands. Spot for a vocalist is now open!”
Providence was formed in March 2011 and featured Sunnieth Revankar (Bhayanak Maut) on vocals, Charan Singh Patania (Chronic Phobia) and Shezan Shaikh (ex-Sceptre) on guitars, Shrikanth Rao (Chronic Phobia) on bass, Aaron Pinto (Bloodshed, Gutslit) on drums. The band has been nominated in seven out of eight categories in the Rolling Stone Metal Awards 2012 for their debut album Vanguard.May 2012, Sunneith Revankar parted its way for his other ventures and Karan replaced him. Since then band has been performing gigs in and around Mumbai with Indian metal giants Demonic Resurrection, Zygnema and more.
