Greetings from MetalIndia! How are things in the Gorified camp these days? You guys must be in an upbeat mood following the release of your demo cd?
Brutal Greets to u & all from Metalindia.Things r going great with Gorified as we r expecting our demo to be released very soon.

Can you give us a brief introduction of the band, how you guys started off and the kind of music that you play?
The band started in September 2004 with me, Charlie – Vox, Ganesh – Guitars/Bass & Ali – Drums. We wanted to play music ultra sick & brutal as we like it that way.

What international bands are your primary influences? Do all the band members have similar preferences in general?
Our influences range from Carcass, Cannibal Corpse, Disgorge (U.S/MEX), Devourment, Foetopsy & loads of other brutal death/grind/gore bands. Yeah all of us have similar preferences in general. Apart from that we are also into porn & gore grind.

What styles/bands do you guys follow? And what do you write about in your songs?
Our style is a mix of Gore/Death/Grind & we dont try to follow any band in particular.
Lyrically it’s all about gore, sickness, necrophllia, cannibalism & any topic which is sick, gruesome & perverse.

Your demo just got released on Sevared records, which is one of the primary underground labels, could you tell us more about this deal? How did you get in touch with the label?
The deal we got is that the demo will be out on Sevared Demo Series # 3 limited to 100 copies. We got to know the label through a guy called Markus from Guttural Zine (Germany).

Do you guys follow the Indian scene? What’s your opinion regarding the same?
We just follow 2 bands. One is the mighty Gruesome Malady & the other is an upcoming Gore Grind act called Anorectal Ulceration.

Its quite nice to see that there are some really good and extreme bands coming up in India nowadays, experimenting with genres like goregrind etc. Do you think this is a sign of things to come, and maybe one day we will have also have an established UNDERGRIND scene?
Well I’m not sure about that, but in Bangalore we have Gruesome, Anorectal & our porno gore grind side project Festered Wound

Have you guys played live outside Bangalore? Any plans of playing outside the garden city in the near future?
We have played a few gigs in Delhi & Chennai & have actually stopped playing gigs but may play outside Bangalore in the near future.

Are there Indian bands that you follow closely? What are your views on Gruesome Malady, Exhumation, IIIrd Sovereign?
As I mentioned earlier we only follow Gruesome Malady & Anorectal Ulceration. Gruesome I feel is one of the sickest & original sounding Gore Grind band at present.
