Lahore based 5-piece band ‘Odyssey‘ is a progressive metal band that attempts to breach the boundaries of Pakistani music with an eclectic mix of aggression, melody and memorable songwriting. The band has recently released the intro track ‘The Reckoning‘ from their upcoming album “Crossroads To Oblivion“, whose release date will be announced soon.

Hussam Raza – Rhythm Guitars
Waqas Ahmed – Lead Guitars
Omar Suhail – Drums/Percussions
Haider Abbas – Bass Guitars
The band was formed in February 2008 by Hussam Raza, Waqas Ahmed and Omar Sohail because of a common interest in making progressive music. The name ‘Odyssey‘ was chosen because it signified a long musical journey that the band felt like it was embarking on. Odyssey is also the name of a very famous poem based on Greek mythology, which are elements that can be found in Odyssey’s original music as well.
Odyssey’s music is inspired by bands like Dream Theater, Symphony X, Metallica, Megadeth, Savatage, Ark, Opeth and Liquid Tension Experiment amongst others.
